A video message gadget.

Not sure if this exists but I want to give someone a present of a video message on a small player. I'm thinking something like a small digital photo frame that can play video.

Ideally I'd like to be able to customise the menu so that there's just one button to press that would play the message. It would also be great if there were speakers built in. The quality doesn't need to be great and it doesn't need to be used for anything else apart from relaying this one message.

Any ideas?

try Comet Curries Dixons etc they were selling an MP4 Archos DVR player a while back for about £60.00 £70.00 about the same a s a digital photo frame.

Using a cheapo digital 'frame' couldn't you 'frame by frame' your video message and set the slideshow to the minimum Tom?
Buy a cheap mobile and send the video perhaps?

Some more info might help. It's for someone who's going to be away on holiday over Christmas. I want to be able to wrap it up as a present so they can open it and watch the message on Christmas day. It's kinda a fun thing so doesn't need to bee all spangly.

Could you spend up to about £60? You can get Archos 405 (2Gb) for under £60 on ebay (if your lucky you can get it for under £40, I did .

You could store the video on there and afterwards they would have a reasonable MP4 player.

Best idea! Enclose a spare memory card in case the message needs to be kept!
