Does anyone know where I can view / obtain a copy of the above 1976 documentary ( Paris-Roubaix ) which as full subtitles?

The original film has LOTS of french/Italian conversation which is not translated / subtitled...

I can get along in both if spoken slowly but the pace of the conversation in the film leaves me well behind in translation

Have you tried Youtube? I remember watching a version with an English voiceover, but don't think it had subtitles for when the cyclists/locals were speaking though.

I found the English voice over but no subtitles....I cant understand Flemish or Italian/Flemish when Eddy Merckx starts ranting

booze and cake

probably out cycling
I thought this was a thread about IKEA.

I've only ever seen the Youtube ones with English voice over, and though it does have a subtitles option, it just reiterates what the voice over says and doesn't translate any of the in race conversations or background chatter.

There are some rather comedy subtitle errors with peoples names, Merckx is mercs, Roger De Vlaeminck comes out as 'dablimik', Walter Godefroot is Walter go to fruit, and Raymond Poulidor is Raymond pull it off. ^_^
