A scabby carlton pro am 12

Picked this up this morning

It's got a little ahem "patina" on it but it's got all its gear and brake bits which look salvageable. Serial number is WA 000195 so I think that must be 1980. I've given it a wash and a rub down, and if I kind of squint at the top tube it doesn't look too bad
I'm thinking this might be one that deserves a respray but I'm gonna see if I can get everything working first and build as is to get a feel for it

Well, looks like a taller friend is gonna take this off my hands. He's considering treating it to an "Argos" experience

Normally I'm of the 'clean em up' school but that top tube maybe just pushes it into respray territory.
Nice bike though.

It'll be gorgeous after a proper respray, I've been drooling over @Spokesmann 's website this morning - shiny!
