or it could be bad track design - it appears to me the riders took what appears to be te correct route.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
I did something like that at Coed-y-Brenin, except I was lucky ... as I flew through the air, I spotted a small tree just to the side of me, stuck my hand out and grabbed it, which span me round and I landed back on the trail on my feet, while my bike clattered about 15 feet down the slope! I got a round of applause for that one from some witnesses ...:highfive:

I watched this the other day, loved it. Especially the way they all follow the first guy!! you'd think by the third he'd have thought to hit the brakes. If you search you can find riders following the track the right way, so it can be done.
