So...i'm just finalising a 2x Cree LED front light, and one thing occurs to me
Everything works fine, but with the two LED lenses set close together...it lt looks like a pair of headlights in the distance

It occurs to me that i could actually confuse drivers into thinking i'm a car at a further distance than i am....with obvious dangers.

Anyone had any problems ? Any thoughts ? Anyone seen a similar setup and thought that, or am i being overly cautious.

Have you both lights pointing at the same angle or is one more down to illuminate the road immediately in front? How close are the two lights... from a distance possibly it would appear as one light source?

What danger would that be?

A car driver seeing another car will give it a lot more respect than they would if they say someone on a bike or motorbike.

I presume the danger is that drivers will think it's a car in the distance rather than a bike quite close and so pull out at junctions rather than wait.

This is why new motorbikes sold with twin headlights can only have the one on at one time....that doesn't stop people modding them of course.

Thats exactly my worry.
I test ran them, and stood back 20ft....blimey, they look just like headlights in the distance.
I'll try to post some pics when i get them mounted...let you decide.

I've supplemented my twin Tesco Cree torch setup with a flasher in between the two to try to avoid the potential for that driver error.....in fact I also have my Dinotte under the bars too.....hopefully the driver will be sooooo keen to see the motorcyclist carrying a car on the front of his motorbike he'll wait regardless of how fast it's going!!
