A number of small things have peed me orf today....

One of them I've dealt with directly and the others are nothing and best returned to when my head is straight, otherwise they'll get blown out of all proportion.

So to regain my sense of perspective, I intend to ditch what I'm doing and go and take the dog for a walk. Going for a drive or a cycle or finding something to laugh about also helps regain some perspective as well but today it's the dog.

What do you do to re-gain your perspective in such circumstances?

I have two Guinea Pigs on my lap in the evening whilst I'm watching television. Very stress reducing having a Cavy nibble your ear.

I know what you mean, Crackle. In my case, I hate it when I have spent hours working on something and be nearing the concluson near the end of the day only to have an email or phone call pull the rug from under it and mean starting again. And it's always something that's time critical and can't be put off until the next day.

How do I deal with it? Stick some music on - and make a mental note to tot up any overtime hours that result. Turning extra unpaid work hours into holiday time is about as good a trade-off as I can find.

After the task is completed, I generally feel a lot better.

If it makes you feel any better I thought the thread title said
Possibly a guinea pig, if you're that way inclined.
