Strangely enough I was going to make a personal observation along similar lines today. There are certainly more 'everyday bods' going about their business on cycles, the town was heaving with 'em yesterday ...
We are everywhere ... and we're growing.

Yea but when you read that their definition of a regular cyclist is someone who has cycled 12 times in the last 12 months.

Once a week would be a fair definition of regular for a non commuter/enthusiast. Once a month is occasional at best in my book

Well i am 1 of them, so is the wife.

We both got back on our bikes (and then bought new ones) in summer 2011. Nothing to do with British Cycling tho.

we've all got our own books, but it's still more people on bikes. I don't see how that can be anything but good

it was on the BBC, but, sadly, the story came out the same day as the USADA report. They interviewed Chris Hoy and he had to spend his time talking about Armstrong and not about there being more cyclists
