One of my workmates found out about my interest in bikes, especially bikes from the 80's.
I mentioned that I had a Europa that was one of my favourites- it turns out he was into bikes when he was younger and had this Europa that he bought new in 1982.
He hadn't ridden for many years and decided he wanted his bike to go to a good home, so this morning I added another one to my collection.
Modolo Corsa brakes, Ofmega driveline, Ambrosia wheels and a nice 61cm steel frame. With some work it should come up nicely.

A quick wipe is how I'll be removing them, time has not been kind 😄
I've ordered a set of 700 x 25 gumwall tyres (Michelin) to replace the perished 20's that are on there as well as a new set of gum coloured hoods.
I've also got new cables ready to go on after it gets a full strip down and clean.
It looks like I'll be staying away from steep hills with the 21-13 cassette but it's a nice time capsule that reminds me of great times.

When I was first club riding I ran 13-21 6 speed with either 46/40 or 50/42 on the front, I can't remember which now, I couldn't do it now though.

This one is running 42/53 front with the 13-21 6 speed rear so fairly tall. Fortunately my regular route isn't too steep so it will be ok, I have other bikes for hills.
I'm the same as you, definitely not as able to push the big gears as I'm getting older.
