A Decent Rain Hat?

Have been commuting since Feb (70/80 mins each way trundling along on my happy hybrid) & just decided to ditch the helmet (prefer to be without it). Any advice on a good hat? I've ordered a waterproof beanie for when it's really cold but would like something just waterproof that's not going to make me too hot & sweaty on a mild'ish rainy day. The years haven't been kind to my hair coverage & I'm a bit of a slaphead (feels like I sweat more but may be wrong on this, might just be more noticeable) & despite the user name, after 20 minutes or so cycling it's a very sweaty flat cap! (the thinsulate lining was a mistake)

Waterproof tends to equal a bit hot and sweaty.

I've just bought this one (has the ear flap band too if needed) from Trespass for a tenner. It is waterproof - been well tested a couple of times this week - and not wooly hat warm.

It has an elasticated adjustor too to be one size fits all

I have a Merrell baseball cap like this, which works well for me, just been out for 2 hours in the rain, and my (slaphead/combover) was fine! Similar to the one below!

I never bother with waterproofing either head or legs on a bike. Cotton cap in summer, winter cap with flap in the winter. Very rarely is rain so heavy and prolonged that my hair gets more than slightly damp under these.
I guess you mean the Gore Equipe cap. I've got one and it's great - light and waterproof (and black!).
I've just order this Gore cap from Amazon down to £18.07

The Castelli Difesa is not particularly cheap but I can confirm it is waterproof and breathable (same material as the Gabba). The flap that folds down to cover your neck and ears can be tucked up inside when it's not cold enough to warrant using.
