I have just started to read this...Stephen Hawkins etc... two chapters in and I'm finding physics interesting...it has some cool explanations as to why gravity sucks and now I understand why people play ping pong on trains

I'm glad you like it BFTB. I never saw why so many people disliked the original so much. I hope the book gets some of the audience put off by the original.

Yes. Quantum tunneling is useful to get through the net. If you can pull that off there'll be no more drop shots. Also it may teach you about perfecting spin. If you can pull off spin-1 you're very likely to win the point.

Speaking of Feynman, may I recommend this:-

"Richard Feynman, A Life in Science" by John Gribbin and Mary Gribbin

It is an excellent read.
