Anyone know what this might be, just been given it , it has a odd mixture of bits on it, Shimano Exage brake levers and front mech, Campag rear mech and caliper brakes with Campag branded brake shoes , Campag cranks/chain sett and Campag front wheel, rear wheel seems to be a replacement cheaper looking black anodised thing , newish plastic seat and some of those pedals that flash amber when you turn them .
Probably a respray no sign of badges or transfers, frame number on underside of b/bracket, nice chrome forks shame it's too small for me
Would of been quite nice at one time.

Dunno.... lugs, forks and dropouts suggest it's something half decent though

I don't know - why do you have an 80's Raleigh with similar forks?

Yeap I do!! 🤣.

Early 80s road bike? Perhaps the original owner stacked it in a sprint finish, hence the forks.

From the same chap (who I don't know I got them via someone else) I have another one a Claud Butler , very nice, that I'm restoring for the guy who gave them both to me , I'm keeping this one though, and going by the components seems to be 79/80 for the Claud the other one "feels" about ten years newer and maybe from a higher volume producer rather than bespoke builder ,but just what are original components I'm not sure, it has a lot of Campy so maybe the Shimano is replacement .
I actually love this side of bike restoration filling in the gaps and trying to find out it's history.
I'm going to ask more from the guy I got them from, see if he knows more, next time I see him.

It is a bit of a long shot, but the frame lugs are exactly the same as a Falcon Superpro or Falcon Professional, which shared a frame but were kitted out differently. If it is that frame it will be cr-mo with a 27mm seat pillar. The Seat pillar looks to have been changed to accommodate the "comfy" saddle!. Added to that the SuperPro was fitted out with Campag Gran Sport derailleur and brakes etc. and had a chrome tange front fork which yours has. The frame number also matches the style used by Falcon for the Professional and SuperPro frames and fits neatly into a series of 19 such frame numbers I have collected and puts it at late 1979 / early 1980. If it is a Falcon it is certainly before September 1980 when they added top tube braze ons to hold the rear brake cable. It looks as if it has been resprayed at some time as all the SuperPros seemed to be a metallic red. It has also lost its Campag pedals for some without toeclips. I am pretty convinced it is a modified Falcon SuperPro.
