Hi,
It was my understanding that (shimano) 9 speed road and MTB shifters and detailers had the same cable pull ratio - so you could have Sora STI brifters with any shimano 9 speed front and rear derailier. Im changing my Specialized AWOL to be a low geared for touring bike, and would like to use the Sora shifters with Alivio front and rear mech (Along with the 22-30-40 chainset)
I think this should work, but its hard to get any sort of confirmed compatibility.
Anyone have the benefit of experience?
