Seems I'm fixing a lot of punctures recently ( I'm becoming an expert ) any ideas what's happening? Maybe I need new tyres?
Tell me what tyres they are and I will avoid them! Lol
Certainly sounds like you either need new tyres or aren't thoroughly inspecting them for any little sharp things remaining when you are changing the tubes?

Yeah I turn the tyres inside out and inspect them, also make sure the tube isn't snagged on the rim and tyre, the edge of the tyre is looking worn (a few bits of wire showing) the tyres are " race tzar" Chinese crap ones that came with the bike, I'll be upgrading to gator skins on payday

couple of things might be the problem

(1) are tyres pumped up enough, which on a narrowish tyred road bike might be 90 to 120psi. This is pretty hard to reach with a portable pump. under inflated tyres leads to pinch flats / snakebites - so called as you get a pair of holes near each other. Solution - track pump with gauge.

(1a) riding over curbs & bumps like a sack of potatoes makes snakebites more likely - so if yo do this you need to be a bit more sensitive.

(2) something's gone through the tyre - glass, thorn , whatever - and even though you've felt around inside the tyre you've missed it and it's repuncturing the new or fixed tube. I had a slight lump of canvas inside a tyre causing weekly+ punctures which was getting v irksome. I'd missed it despite carefully checking each time - and this was well regarded Continetal Gatorskins which are regarded as pretty p-resistant. New tyre fixed it.

(3) poor, or unsuitable tyres. Very light racey tyres might be a bit thin, and very cheap tyres might (or might not) be a bit crap. Aforementioned Gatorskins and Schwalbe duranos are pretty tough and not too heavy for commuting.

Yeah always bang 120psi in with my track pump. I have a decent portable one that can do 120 psi as well. Not had pinch puncture so I reckon it's just my shite tyres and the fact the roads round me a rubbish. I try to ride over the grates and potholes as light as possible but I am a giant beast.

Is it the same tyre, ie front or rear? And the same place in the tube?
Sometimes it's hard to find small holes/damage/flints in a tyre when it's off the bike, but once you inflate it again they can reopen and repuncture.
May be time to ditch the tyre!

Tip: Ride around them!

Lorries don't puncture your tires..they ...good point though..you need a new route but if you are using the same route then you
should know where the holes, sunken grates and pot holes are by now..its no good ruining your bike if you keep hitting them.

on the subject of lorries.. Yorkshire lorry drivers must be cycle friendly as when they pass me they usually drive passed on the other side of the road, otherwise they stay behind and wait until
I'm passable.

I often say to myself, I don't need that much room but thanks as they pass
