8 speed on 11 ?

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me can i use a shimano 8 speed cassette on a 10 or 11 speed freehub and if i need spacers what size i need ?

8 will fit on a 10 freehub there is a spacer which goes on first, I can't remember if it needs fitting or removing for a 10 to 8 conversion.
If you are buying a new cassette they come with spacers and instructions.

Shimano 10 speed hubs are 8/9/10 speed compatible, and 7 speed with a 3mm spacer. Sadly, I know nothing about 11 speed.

11 spd is slightly wider so will need another spacer

The spacing between the sprockets is greater on an 8 speed compared to an 11 speed, so you might need to change your shifters.
