700 x 35 tyres on Mavic CXP22 Wheels

Can I go this wide of a tyre on these wheels?
Or is 28-32 the limit?
Is it dangerous to ride with wider tyres on the small rim?

28mm is the recommended max but I did have 35mm on my CX with the same sized rim and they were a bit spongey , I would go with 32s max.

I used a 700 X 40 tyre set on Alex S500 rims which I believe have a slightly narrower profile than your 22's. I had no problems.

What is dangerous about doing it? If anything
