700 x 23C commuting tyre recommendations

Just checked the bike over and although theres plenty of tread, the damage (slitting etc) from road debris is making me think new ones may be in order.

Spotted these:

I have been using Conti Ultra GatorSkin for the last three years with very little trouble. I know that some people swear by Schwalbe for puncture protection. Not heard of Vittoria before, would be interested to learn more, I am curious about the "exciting road-behaviour"...

I used the Scwalbes on my bike last winter, they stood up pretty well to everything apart from glass chippings. I wenht to one of these on Sunday - http://www.cycle-promotions.co.uk/ - and saw them for fifteen quid a pair.

I commuted on a pair of Michelin Pro2 Race - In a year I only had four or so unwelcome deflations, and that was 12miles a day through central London.

A lot of people I worked with swore by Michelin Krylions.
