Hi, need some help pls. Was out on the new bike yesterday, Spesh SL4 with shimano 6700. However some t@sser forced me into a bollard, thankfully managed to only hit it on the carbon shifter lever. Now it has smashed half the right hand level off.
Question: can the small number of parts be replaced or is it a whole new shifter???

blimey, that's bad luck. What an peanut driver.

I have the same levers and suffered the near same problem as you. WVM threw a can of coke which hit me hard in the chest forcing me off my bike. Luckily only a slight scratch to then (brand new) levers.

As to whether you can buy the parts separately? I'm not so sure. And I am sure that it would be a tough job to undertake. They look complicated things to take apart. Definitely a bike shop job.

Here is the tech doc for the levers which shows the part number.

In my experience replacement parts tend to cost almost as much as a new shifter. Also, as Ian says, you don't want to be messing around with the levers so that is LBS labour on top.

Sorry but if the lever has gone then I'd look for a new/second hand one.

Many thanks all, managed to get a new right hand shifter on eBay, brand new at £110. Expensive crash but at least frames ok and will be good as new by next week
