650c tubs

Hi, I've got some 650c spinergy aero wheels and need to fix the tubolar tyres top the rims. I have been asked if they are sprint or H.P rims? Can anyone shed some light please? thanks.

That's a bit of a silly question - HP (High Pressure) is another way of saying clincher rim, which can't take tubulars and not the tape you linked to. However, the tape is fine for your tubular rims. Better to glue the tubs though.

This looks like it could get quite expensive for you - tubulars are expensive, and those Spinergys are an accident waiting to happen as we alluded to in an earlier thread.

Tubs are fantastic to ride on - go for it just to experience the feel they give.

Downsides are that they take a bit of practice to glue on properly -make sure that the tub is seated truly.The tub tape makes this job a bit easier but does not give as strong a bond - hence the warning at the bottom of that eBay page.

It's a bit of a bummer when you go to all the time,expense and effort only to get a puncture first time out so you have to be determined to use them.
