There was absolutely no expense when the bike was purchased new in 2007. The build price for the bike, including
the addition of the new parts listed is well over £3000. The bike has just returned from a service at Northwood Cycles
on Thursday 23rd April 2009, where the forks, brake and cable set and brake
pads were fitted and a general service was carried out. The bike rides beautifully, as if new. You are welcome
to arrange a test ride if you are serious about purchasing, please contact me for more information.
Since new the bike has covered around 2000 miles. The wheelset (including tyres) have covered 300 miles, the pedals around
50 miles with the new parts mentioned coving around 2-3 miles (riden this morning 25th April 2009).
If you are currently competing in Road Racing, this bike is ready to go. With the addition of a set of carbon clinchers
or tubulars, this bike would be an incredibly light racer, with immense potential. The frameset was the lightest frameset in
production on release in 2006, has been build by others to weigh under 5.5kg complete!
I personally have not riden a bike that irons out bumpy roads, but is so light and rigid. The bike loves to be riden hard
and is a fantastic climber. The shifting of the Dura Ace 7800 groupset is incredible and let you get everything possible
out of the bike.
The reason for selling is simple; I commute 30 miles a day (into London) on my fixed gear bicycle and with
training (for running), I no longer have the time to train on this bike.
