Well i aimed to 60 miles today but didn't manage it as on hill just broke me 20% gradient even walking up was a battle but i enjoyed it even though legs a still burning away.

I did stop at nice cafe for a slice of rocky road but wish i didn't stay in there aslong as when i left i felt really cold and couldn't be bothered but i pushed through.

Return journey was full of events as seeing a orange lamborgini which nearly made me sh!t my self when it went past me, two idiots which shouldn't have a license to drive, one was a smidsy which didn't even look at me and then tried to intimadate me be coming close to my wheel and the other one was just down right stupid as the driver overtook me 20 metres from a junction while my lane disciplineshowed the driver my intentions all to gain 2-3 seconds advantage which i caught up with the car and talked to the driver but she still insisted that i was in the wrong.

Anyway the ride was great apart from the couple of incidents just wish i took some more pictures apart from the one i did take but now its time to head to the pub and have a well deserved pint or two.

Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
Well done. The cold should be less of a problem soon (but until then, I'd rather wear too much and have to bungee a layer to the rack than be cold) and don't let the nobber motorists get you down. Be cautious about engaging with them and questioning their actions as you never know who's carrying a weapon

Congratulations.. Always good to get that first 50 miler under your belt. Don't worry about not getting 60 miles done, that'll come soon enough.

:okay:

Well done.:bravo:

My metric century today included a 20% climb too.:heat: Bloody hard work in the cold conditions and I consider myself fairly seasoned at this distance. You'll crack it next time.

Shame about the bad driving. If it's any consolation the nutters were out here too. I got forced off the road on a narrow lane by a Range Rover - not fun.
