Been waiting for the opportunity to get this psychological(or should it be cycleogical) barrier out of the way and sorted today. 50.02 miles non stop in 3hours 23 mins averaging 14.8mph(with the AT function off). Consumed 300ml of High5 energy drink(free from Wiggle), 400ml water, 1 banana and 2 crunchy granola bars(won't use them again) on the go. Pleased with that but will have to work on my fluid intake by the look of it. Didn't feel dehydrated when I finished though.
Few more of those then the Metric Century. Think I will build a pit stop into that at 40 miles though to refuel.

well done! and eating granola bars too.... did you stop?.
No I didn't stop. I was being clever because i had already snipped the end off the wrapping before I set out. Trouble was getting them out of my back pocket and trying to remove them from the wrapping one handed. They tended to break into bits in your hand and I was too stubborn to stop. Dry to eat as well. Back to trying Kelloggs Nutri Grain bars for me.

I did 5 today - cheer!

Just picking the mrs up from the train station though. ;-)

Alarm was set for half 8 this morning, for a 25 miler I had planned, but stayed in bed... :-( D'oh.

Congratulations. Sounds great! BTW, what do you mean by "AT function off" - sorry for my ignorance!

There is an AT(Auto Mode) function on a lot of computers that means when the wheel with the magnet on is not rotating the timing clock on the computer stops i.e. when you stop, the clock stops. I have turned this function off so that when I stop e.g. traffic/traffic lights the clock is still running There is another button on the computer which I use to start/stop the timings/measurements. This gives me an accurate time off how long I've been out and I believe my average mph in that time. Hope this helps.

That makes a lot of sense - thanks for that
