3mm flat spot on rear rim

new rim.. I'd personally not try to repair. what kind of rim? alu? steel?

Three mil is a fair bit to take out by wheel trueing. try it, but be prepared to replace.

Flat, how?

When you say flat spot, do you mean that the rim is bent inwards, slightly egg shaped rather than just out of true from side to side? If so, it'll be nearly impossible to sort that out.

Very difficult to fix. I tried my best with the front wheel of my Rudge and had a few other people have a go without success.
