Just finished a 35 mile ride on my new Giant Defy 3 in terrible condidtions. which took me 2hr 17 mins

I am really happy as i did a 30 ride on my old bike (Viking Giro) and took 13 mins longer and that was in August in lovely sunny conditions.

Guess must be getting fitter

Wet roads, less friction, more speed.

I'm just jealous because I can't beat 2.45 for a thirty.

i personally think it is due to the better bike. More gears. On the viking i could only get around 27 max downhill, but the giant i can get 35 downhill

Nice one! I did 30miles on Sunday in 2hr 9mins (was aiming for 50miles but due to what seems like a cold I felt exhausted and had no energy).

I did Solihull to Pailton return ( 48 miles ) in 4 hours 10 mins on my 39lb Apollo County.

I spent 45 minutes in the cafe, so what were YOU hanging around for?
