35 mm wide tyres on a road bike

Got bald tyres (25s) on my road bike (Allez). Found some decent 35mm wide on an old bike in garage. Before I mess about trying to swap tyres, will they fit on my road bike?

Very much doubt it, I had the similar Secteur and the widest I could fit was 28c and that was a squeeze.

Put a picture of the clearance with the 25's on and I'm sure others will be able to tell you roughly.

35mms will not fit an Allez, or any conventional road bike (as opposed to CX/adventure/gravel frames). By 'bald' tyres do you mean 'no tread' or 'heavily used'?

Your rims would have to be like RSJ's, and even if they were, I very much doubt you'd have enough clearance.

Most I ever fit on a road type bike was 32mm, and that rim had to be truer than a dog's devotion.

Thanks everyone but just found some 23s, so put them on instead. One extreme to the other lol!
