I've had my hybrid nearly 3 years and probably done around 2k miles on it. I got my first puncture yesterday, when taking the tyre off the rubber was a little crumbly, I'm guessing this isnt good?

Is that normal for the life of a tyre? I've used it in all weather conditions on roads and trails and use this bike because its reliable, so now I've lost some confidence I'm considering new tyres.

Its my carrera subway bike and it has unbranded kevlar tyres at the moment but now I'm looking at these as a replacement, any thoughts?

What size inner tube would this need?

Most hybrids have 700 tyres rather than 26" ones. Having said that there are 26" shod hybrids but may be worth you double checking. Tubes come in a range of sizes per tube. So the box may say 26 x 1.25-2.00, and as long as your tyre size falls within that range the tubes will be fine. Don't forget to match the valve and the valve length with your existing tubes.

Thanks compo, yeh they are 26" tyres, my sons got a voodo hybrid and they are 700's, or else I'd have been tempted to take he's!

Hi,

They don't have the 26x1.5 in stock.

On the road the Michelin slicks would go very well.
The Michelin City (reflex) is tough and will last ages.
Really once you have decent tyres fitted, you only replace one
tyre. The front goes on the back and the new tyre on the front.
