I have a Trek fx 7.5 which i mainly used for road commuting and fitness. However, I also would like to go onto rough paths and into woods with it (on dirt paths). The 7.5 comes with 700c wheels (Botranger SLR) and 28mm botranger tyres. These feel to thin and not stable enough for the rougher stuff
Would like a way to easily swap out my current tyres for a different set. Replacing the tyres is quite an effort each time, so wondered about just getting a replacement set of wheels and tyres (ebay for wheels - don't need new, and maybe 35mm tyres) and swapping over when needed...
Would this work? Would I need to get the same wheel? (or at least same size) to make the swap easy? Anyone done this?
