I sent one of my former cycling buddies a text yesterday.Did he still cycle on a Saturday morning with another old pal.Yes was the reply and how great it was to hear from me.The three Amigos to ride again he replied. So i have just looked at the weather for Leeds tomorrow. The cold i can wrap up against but i cannot beat the 25 mph wind we are going to get.So riding won't be this Saturday.

Should the howling rain not appear, I'll be out. Trails should be dryish, which is a bonus. A dry week, followed by drying wind, should make the ride far 'cleaner' than two weekends ago (a record for mud). A big MTB's not going to get blown about much, unless I go for air....

I won't be in the high hills, but I'm thinking of checking out what damage Cheshire East has done to one of the routes I regularly ride - it's been re-surfaced and it's not gone down well with local MTB'ers - i.e. super flat surface not exactly in keeping with a natural trail. (road bike suitable).

Local club was meant to be doing the sh*t bike shambles in the peaks this weekend, which I can't make due to doctors orders. However the weather has postponed it so I might make it after all.

What could possibly go wrong with a technical loop in the peaks on sub £20 bikes

The plan for tomorrow is a short ride, about 40 miles, in the morning and an afternoon watching the rugby.
