Hello.
So i've been running my Giant Defy Adv without internal cable guides (for the gears) for a few years but this mistake has caught up with me, as the gear cables have been dragging, snagging etc.
I must have lost the internal guides when I had the cables replaced - I don't remember who did the work and I only realised a year or so after the work was done. I certainly didn't remove it. Perhaps there wasn't a guide in the first place ??
I cannot find an exact kit for my bike.
The closest match are these guides
https://www.giantbikespares.com/Gia...-CM245B-201_CM246B-201/product_detail/3-41561
or this kit
https://www.giantbikespares.com/Gia...Guide--1630-CM3335-901/product_detail/3-45841
My question is, rather than buy a kit which may or may not fit, can I just buy some internal cable guide material and cut it to fit ?
Perhaps I should email the Giant Spares people and see if they can find a match, or advise ?
