Couldn't wait til summer. Went in today to order the Cube. Told that the ones I wanted (Cube Agree GTC Di2) are due mid March. Also told that demand has been very high, so much that my LBS hasn't been able to get his preorder confirmed yet, and he can't guarantee getting any for March - noooooooo.
He has said that he should know more in ten days, and if they promise him a 58cm, he'll be promising it to me (after I've paid a deposit).
Even better, I managed to get a deal where he'll throw in the canon Shimano Ultedra SPD-SL pedals, and an upgrade to Ultegra brakes for no extra cost. The brakes were the only component worth upgrading too!
Now I just have to hope he gets one in... The anticipation is killing me...
Just been to pick it up, im very happy :-) View attachment 6314
Nice !.... You just need some miles on it now.
I'm still keen on the GTC SL, which they've got one arriving next week for another customer and I'm popping down to have a look at that, but I also like the Di2, with its electrickery.
What made you opt for that one ?
No seriously, a committed gadget whore here. I used to have to iron nothing in my wardrobe other than my white work shirts. That's max six shirts a week. My iron broke, so I went to buy a new one. Reached for the cheap one, saw one with a 'splash' ad on it saying "Can shoot steam 30 feet horizontally from a vertical position" or something similar, and ended up walking out with my wallet about 75 quid or so lighter. It's like a disease!
Cubes are selling fast right across Europe their mtb range is also flying out looks like we are gonna see a lot of cubes on the road IMO they seem to have produced a great bike internal routing of cables including the sleeve, great wheelsets, and of course the DI2 which the first batch (not arrived yet) sold out. I think its time for Giant, Trek, Scott, Specialised to wake up and stop putting sub standard componenets on good frames.
