nice one nickp, keep it up mate, have a rest and do it again when ready :welcome:

I wouldn't be disapointed though, thats quite an achievement, one of which you should be proud, and I bet the average speed will increase over time.

I can't get that map to display.

Anyway, well done. Don't go back out on it until you feel rested. A few more times and you'll probably look back on that time and smile.

Well done. Your times will come down as your fitness level increases. Make sure your tyres are pumped up to the correct pressure before you leave and eat something an hour or so before leaving home, and maybe a cereal bar and a drink halfway round. It will help to keep your blood sugar levels up.

upped it to 10 plus and now 3 months later do 30 regularly and have done over 50

I found you do get stronger...after a few weeks.....so keep it up :welcome:

the link seems to try going to another thread and generates an error, but as you say a copy and paste works

Not suprised you average was down. Must have been a lot of traffic.

Why didn't you go up Old Mill Rd ?

TBH the route wasn't planned so i just sort of followed the road, and it was 6am so it was quiet.

Managed to complete 20 miles yesterday:smile:

Have to say i am a little dissapionted in myself as i only averaged about 7-8mph and today my legs feel like there going to drop offxx(xx(.

Here's the route i took and i'll be doing it again when i recover to try and beat my time.

Well done time doesnt matter, the point is you did it.My first attempt at a 14 mile ride I only averaged 8.3 mph on a hybrid bike. Now 6 months later I can do the same ride at about 14 mph average (slow compared to some people buit an achievment for me) . Dont overdue it. If 20 miles is killing you do 15 mile rides for a while. Fitness will improve quite quickly if you keep riding regullarilly.
