1. what size seat clamp will my boardman comp hybrid be?
2. what type of cables would i need if i want to get some colored ones for hydraulic brakes, is there a certain type?

It'll be a standard twin rail seat clamp, (unless you mean the seatpost clamp, in which case the seatpost is 27.2mm, if that helps)

I can think of Superstar components who do coloured hoses for hydraulic brakes. They will sell you 3 metres of coloured hose for about 14 quid, which you cut to length, then you'll need a hose fitting kit of the correct type for your brakes. That hose kit contains the necessary spigots, olives, compression fittings and inline connectors or banjos to re hose the brakes. That costs between 7.99 and a tenner, then you'll need new hydraulic fluid and a bleed kit, either proprietary or "ghetto" so another potential 6 quid to 25 quid.

Some Ebay sellers have some coloured hose kits available. Search under hydraulic hose under Sporting Goods, and fill yer boots.
