1st Test ride of reconditioned rust bucket today

Taking my newly aquired free rustbucket on a test ride today.
Bike is mechanicly sound allthough it is an old apollo full suss (don't like suss) has some rust on it still,
squeaky brakes and gears will need tweaking along the way.
Have'nt ridden for 8 years and am a smoker (i know disgusting habit) so not sure how much distance i will be able to cover,
but then i've always believed fitness is as much mental as physical.
Will let you know how i get on.

Wish me Luck :bicycle:

Well 1st ride went well covered approx 3 miles without to much effort and yes you where right lovely day for it, it appears the gears may need a little more than tweaking, can only get (depending on adjustment) top 2 or bottom 2 on front derailer and it makes an infernal clicking soung off the chain, i'm assuming that the angle of the derailler may need a little adjustment aswell. Front suspension sticks a little but hoping that will sort itself out over the next cpl of day's, but all in all a most enjoyable ride.

Gonna have another go tomorow would have gone further today but havent got a mounting point for bottle cage and was dying of thirst lol, the downside of good weather.
