Just finished the Stoke TOB stage today. Was originally signed up for the 80KM run, but ended up doing the Pro course of 140KM instead. Heavy rain and medium winds made for a challenging time (not to mention Gun Hill...ouch!). I had a work mate and my Brother to keep me company (both very fit) and we finished in 5hrs 26mins (riding time not including feed stops...just over 6hrs including). Really enjoyed it, even managed a small sprint for the finish line.
Given the fact that in May I was 18.5st and now am 14.5st, this has crowned off my summer. Will defiantly be doing more sportive's next yr....oh and got £400 sponsorship too for the Prostate Cancer Charity.
