well today i went out for only my second ever ride but decided to put on my new pedals and shoes and clip in, i must admit i felt it was so much better and i felt really comfortable with them, ( hope i dont speak too soon) i did 9 miles but felt i could have done a lot more but it was starting to get dark, this was the first time that i have been on the main roads and again it didnt seem as bad as i thought, i now just cant wait till tomorrow so i can get back out lol

Nice one. I too was over the moon when I first went clipless. Hope you have a "clipless moment" somewhere quiet, we all have them. I had two in the first month, the first on a quiet lane, the second in front of a crowded bar:blush:

I've been 'clipping in' via SPD for nearly two months now and I really like the connected feel. I still occasionally have to remind myself to unclip ahead of halts, but it is becoming second nature, as the Blue Messiah tells us.

Well done. I'm not as brave, I have not plucked up the courage yet this week, mainly because of the dark, I hope to get out this weekend in the day light. I have them on and did some practice clipping in and out but only in the garage.

The light nights are on their way, it was light here at 5pm tonight.
