well just got back from my 1st 18 miler, well chuffed considering i ain't been on the road for 10 years especially never on a road bike, rode WELL BEHIND angelfishsolo,lol had no choice really, he was too fast... joined the clipless gang after 2 falls, didn't really bother me just got up and trunted forwards with only a scuff on the bar tape and a small scuff on the saddle so no damage to my GTC Thank the lord, glorious day riding with great support from angelfishsolo and advice really helped... shaky legs and a sore derrière so will try out a few more rides with my current saddle and then may change it for something a little less sharp,lol

Saddles can get very expensive .So to start you off .£24-99 a Charge Spoon.I put this on my Spesh Secteur Elite.Grand saddle.

Do you have good cycle shorts? I dont ride more than about 10 miles without padded shorts.

yeah i was looking at this earlier, very good reviews too, but as its my first outing i will give my free bib shorts with a subscription a chance, and the dhb bibs i got and see what happens then, but by god my arse is numb,lol

hi banjo, yes i had a free pair of bibs with a mag sub and I've also bought a pair of 3/4 from wiggles own dhb brand but ain't tried them yet, so gonna give the benefit as its my first time out and see what happens, but i believe the seat is a razor, my bum is killing seriously and very numb,lol....but I'm taking it has being a newbie and first time, but angel said that the seat i got looks and feels pretty poor..my bum agrees,lol..

I love my DHB shorts & Bibs... I bought some much more expensive shorts and they're nowhere near as comfortable as the DHB's!
