11-32T what does the T bit mean?

Looking at a 11-32 cassette and i see some have a T and some dont have a T. What does the T mean?

T is the number of teeth on a sprocket or chain ring. Your lowest gear would be with 32T at the rear and the smallest number of teeth at the front chain ring. Conversely, the smallest at the back and largest in the front gives you your highest gear.

Tooth... that is all. It's more confirming that they're talking about the tooth count rather than anything else. I sometimes deal with sprockets in terms of diameter/tooth pitch. We don't have different tooth pitches in the cycling world

That's odd, I really can't recall hearing anything by the band "11-32" in the '80s, and definitely never bought the cassette .
