aren't most cycling event no fly? Hoping on a plane mid route is cheating surely?

Assuming "no fly" means land transport to the start line or from the finish line....

• How do they even start to enforce / monitor that?
• How far ahead of the start time does the flying embargo begin - I mean if you fly back from Marbella and two weeks later take a train and ferry there is that compliant? Do US entrants have to row the Atlantic?
• Are lost dot starting disappear up their own backsides with this no fly stance?
