1/8 chain on a 3/32 chainring

I am refurbishing an old bike with a cyclo rear mech (1/8") and would like to put a nice 70s Stronlight chainset on to give it more gears (I have sourced a Cyclo rod changer as a front mech).

I am not sure if the chainwheels are 1/8 or 3/32. Will it matter much if I run a 1/8 chain on a 3/32 chainwheel, or will I run into problems?

I've ended up with that on my fixie. It's ever so slightly more noicy but it doesn't seem to make any noticable difference.

1/8th on 3/32 is fine.
Not as quiet as it would be if it were all the same, but it works.
