Yeah, I'd imagine so..
Folk are lazy now as you can buy them somewhere...

Nimby?
nuclear power station so obvious in the views from the so called village, massive ore terminal, they even dug a big hole out to build concrete oil rigs in the mid 70s..the ore terminal never really took off.
The sands were a fantastic place, cockle beds galore, 20 mins with a rake and half a bucket no problem...
Last protest was vibration coming from the ship engines at the terminal....
Tough life...
At the time of the proposed terminal ( mid 70s? some wifies led by a minister chained themselves to House of commons railings, think they came home..
It is a fantastic area to stay though..
I would never had said no.
Too far away for babysitting duties..
I have to watch the whirling dervish for part of this morning myself..
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh

an official wet day
Next time you head out in a boat bring a bucket of them home.
Not too certain on what's what either, many of them.

Aye Sellafield raised the water temperature so they grew bigger. Folk were picking them like they were going out o'fashion. Then the "glow in the dark" and radiation stories started.
We've had folk move into house's, old and new, round here near farms. The cows and sheep in the fields were what sold it to them. They've moved in to their new house only to find that they cows/sheep don't come with a volume control. Cows in particular leave aromatic deposits in fields that can't be avoided. Few years and they've gone and put the house up for sale.
They should have left those wives, and especially that minister chained up.
You go to stay you go knowing you'll be leaving by a certain date.
Take them with you. A couple of large static caravans for you all...

You'll manage, I'm certain of it...
And remember, you're bigger than she is. Show her who's really in charge!

Might persuade Mrs M to take a trip west..
I remember doing the Sellafield tour may moons ago..
I hope this teeshirt is orange not a healthy glow

Just been playing with my cheapo handheld which i updated the firmware (not done by the maker) and a handy scan feature is one of the updates, it works well outside, too much birdies and noise going on in here, impressive. I can scan various bands but am preferring the airyband, might head out at some point this week and get high and try shipping...amazing what these folk are doing with these radios....
and cheap as chips from the land of the orient...plus (a cable needed to program)
I should spend more time looking at what else it can do...

Someone is snoozing after a good walk around a garden centre...
been great fun today..

Just keep quiet about any bad bits.
Wouldn't mind going there. See how things are done, maybe coming away with a "reminder or two".

Got back what you spent on it then.
Toodles making too much noise? Are there many high points to choose from locally. Used to listen to the planes headed for Leeds/Bradford, Manchester and those going over to North America.
What did they want for it, if you don't mind me asking?
Get those fingers twiddling!

Mrs M snoozing, or were you relieved of solo babysitting duties.
Do it again, no hesitation....

Changed in 2008 from a visitor centre to a conference centre. No chance of a visit there now.
Oddly a requirement of visiting is trousers to be worn by all visitors. Safety reasons!
Bothered about not needing yer ready brek to get that glow.

And they're all affecting yer radio reception!
Have you built yerself a Faraday Cage. You know, just in case...
Alibaba for yer latest toy? 100% cheaper than anywhere else.

You like this big river place for getting stuff. Is it as good as folk claim.

Can't be many to do this time, can there?

Yeah, prices vary day to day in the land out East..

I'd need more than a Faraday cage, you taking the Michael:laugh:

All H is about to be let loose.....
I better go prepare..

The big river place? aye, it has its uses

There is an 8 version but mostly cosmetic differences...

The dearest option being on the big river site, but the same seller apparently.

Just build it in place on the walls of one room. Thereby creating a quiet room.

Toodles the Tornado there.
Hopefully you've managed to prepare yerssen...

Think I've bought two things via it. One arrived broken. Told to send it back, no charge. Didn't, contacted the seller outside of the site and asked if I could return it myself, saving him money. He were all for it, and replacement got that weekend.

Function first, looks second for me. But if a newer version out knocks the price down I know which I'd be getting.

On the newer model,
Chinese manufacturers are known just to change stuff on a whim but if they keep the same chip that is being 'modified' I'd upgrade..
They are cheap as chips for what they can do.
Some pence spent on front end filtering and they'd be much better but for ordinary use, you can't beat the value...
I got stuck cutting the postage stamp and bird feeders, about to put a wee bug house up and get some peas planted..
new temp record for the year, 17.9c....
and an official dry day so far.
I better go get my stuff done then get Aprils stuff all up to date.
Tornado Tood is snoozing....

I took a wee video earlier of mine but no air traffic, poor area..
but here's the scanning Airband mod
