Hi to everyone
I've just joined the forum and am looking forward to talking to other cyclists and hopefully getting some help in getting started after many years away
I live in the Scottish Highlands in a very remote area. Until recently I was a very keen hill walker and in fact my husband and I moved to the area in order to be able to enjoy the great trails and paths around here.
Unfortunately, I had a serious accident a year ago, and whilst I have largely recovered, I've been left with some issues. My right arm is a bit weak (I had to have a shoulder replacement) but is recovering, and my main residual problem is with my ankle/foot. I've more surgery to come but the consultant tells me that my foot will never really be fit for purpose for long hill walks again.
So I've just bought a mountain bike and have been tottering round our house on it trying to remember how to balance!
Sure I will have a lot of questions to come.

Welcome @Inadorel. Hope you manage to get as much enjoyment out of your bike as you did from hill walking.
